About our School

Massage Therapy Students

South Edmonton School of Massage Therapy is an exciting facility that is situated in southeast Edmonton. We are located within Tawa Physical Therapy Clinic at Suite 220, 6203 - 28th Ave, Edmonton, AB (on the 2nd floor of the Town Centre Professional Building). Our 3000 square foot facility is newly renovated and well lit with an abundance of natural light. We have free parking and the facility is in close proximity to major roadways and public transportation in southeast Edmonton.

We are excited to offer our full time program for both the Massage Therapy Level I (1000hrs) and the Massage Therapy Level II (1200hrs).

Although the program is full time, the course is laid out as a distance learning program which requires the student to attend classes only one weekend per month from September until June. The student must complete home study and projects between classes at approximately 25 hours per week. This makes the program very attractive to those who have family or work obligations during the week, or for those who live out of Edmonton and do not wish to relocate for school.

Massage Therapy

Our program is fully licensed and accredited with the Private Vocational Training Branch of Alberta, the Massage Therapy Associations of Alberta and Saskatchewan (MTAA, MTAS) as well as the National Health Practitioners of Canada Association (NHPC). This means that when you graduate you will be a fully licensed massage therapist in Alberta with secure options for membership in our Alberta massage associations.

The school has a relationship with physiotherapists. Enjoy guest lectures from and interaction with physical therapists. This allows the student to develop a broader perspective with respect to treating patients and is ideal for those wishing to eventually work in an interdisciplinary environment.

Our overhead costs are low as we only pay rent for our use of the facility on weekends. We can pass these savings on to the students in the form of lower tuition.

Small class sizes (average five to seven students per instructor) allows for excellent one-on-one attention and catering to individual learning styles.
